I need a scanner.

I need a scanner pretty bad that doesn't kill all my detail. I'm mainly looking for one that picks up light pencil really well and scans in all the right colors and correct depths... like marker for example or colored pencil drawings.

Anyone know a good brand to suggest? Nothing too expensive or outrageously priced? D:

I need to get a new scanner myself, so if you hear about a good one, let me know! My old one was an HP and it worked wonderfully for about ten years, if that helps your search at all. (Actually, it still works, but is tempermental and makes blue lines all over everything. XD)

I concur with Mienai-Kizu. However, I've always been very pleased with canon products, I love my scanner <3

well I have an HP printer scanner and etc all in one. XD It picks up pictures fine, but my artwork... nada D:. It rapes my line and pencil work.

I've heard all-in-ones of any brand have the lowest quality for all included tasks, but individual HP scanners are good. :3 Mine picked up pencil lines and such just fine for a long time.
